FULLY ACCESSIBLE VIDEO ON WHY TEACHING DISABILITY HISTORY IS IMPORTANT! DIRECTLY FROM YOUTH WHO CONTINUE TO ADVOCATE FOR DISABILITY HISTORY TO BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS IN CALIFORNIA! WATCH/LOVE/ REBLOG!

This is fantastic and also really important  Everyone should watch this.

The work I do is mostly disability theory, but you can’t do the theory without knowing the history.  I believe so strongly in this work, in the creation of community, integrity, and independence through the knowledge of history.
